I was born and bred in the “Bel Paese” and soon realised I had a fairly good idea of what I wanted to achieve in my life. I left the bird’s nest when the first occasion raised!

I became a City boy and London became my home. Those were the bull market times and everything seemed possible. Years later I met my present wife and we planted the first seed of our large family. We both knew though that big metropolis are not suitable places to raise children but leaving the British Island was not as easy as it seemed.

Now father of four, I am living a completely different life! We recently made that giant leap and left the island and everything else behind: a new chapter started. 

The challenge is big and there are often more downs than ups but there must be a light at the end of the tunnel!

I started this blog collecting articles, reviews and comments, writing about wine and food, making notes about things I like and find interesting. In a few years time I will look back at it like you look at a diary and it will help me remember what I have been doing to survive during the first few years of my new life back to the Bel Paese!
