FRIULI DOC XVIII Edition - All the flavours of a unique italian region
Today it’s the opening day of this traditional wine, food but also arts & crafts and local history and folk exibition. The inauguration has been blessed with some rain (so desperately needed after a “roasting” summer) but the sun will prevail again and come back tomorrow but temperatures will be much more pleasant than recently.
The City of Udine, Friuli Venezia Giulia, will be a display of enogastronomic stands where visitors will be tasting the many flavour that make this region in North East Italy so special.
It will not only be enogastronomy but, as I mentioned, an occasion to stroll around the city roads and squares attending to several musical shows, local bands, folk groups, street performers, children laboratories but also cultural events, arts exibitions, guided tours.
This year event is particularly focused on the local cheeses. There will be cooking demonstrations explaining various ways to use cheese in the kitchen.
Friuli DOC is taking place from today, 13th September to Sunday 16th.
