Where does Apple's energy come from?

I read comments from both sides: here the news reporting what Apple says and here is Greenpeace report.

As one of the fastest growing sectors, both economically and in their energy consumption, global IT companies and cloud computing companies have a tremendous opportunity and unique responsibility to take greater control of their electricity supply chain, and to manage their energy ecosystem both outside and inside the data centre.

By making better energy choices and demanding more from utility vendors, cloud companies have the opportunity to be a catalyst in driving utilities and governments toward the development of cleaner electricity generation that will ensure a truly green cloud for their long-term sustainability – and a greener grid for us all.

Make up your own consideration.

World Press Photo Award 2012: 3rd prize goes to Greenpeace photographer Paul Hilton.

It’s great news for Greenpeace too - this powerful picture of a shark being pulled onto a Taiwanese longliner, in the Central Pacific Ocean, was taken by Paul while he was on board our ship, the Esperanza in September 2011.
Paul is originally from the UK, immigrating with his family to Australia at an early age. Later in life he moved to Hong Kong where he became a successful photographer ‘stringer’ with EPA (European Press Agency). We first commissioned Paul to document Greenpeace Hong Kong activities. Later, because of his extraordinary skills both under and above water, he joined our long ship tours, such as those in the Pacific Ocean, to ‘save the tuna’ and ‘protect marine reserves’.

GreenFreeze is Greenpeace’s campaign to transform the refrigeration and cooling industries by eliminating the use of F-gases, the chemicals used to cool refrigerators, homes, cars, and food in stores and vending machines.
F-gases are potent greenhouse gases that were originally called the “environmental alternative” to CFCs, the ozone depleting refrigerants (e.g. Freon) that were phased out in 1992 by the Montreal Protocol. But F-gases are not an environmental alternative to anything, and are making a significant but unnecessary contribution to global warming.

Greenpeace has been working to elminate F-gases from refrigerators and cooling units for over 20 years. In fact, led by our colleagues in Germany, Greenpeace has transformed the domestic refrigerator industry in Europe and Asia.
