My Yamaha XT500 ‘82 Autumn Short Trips: No.2

What a day and what a ride! This time I rode together with Dumbut, a friend from the XT500 club. We met in Forum Julii, North East Italy, and drove without any particular plans along the “Strada di Solarie” reaching up to 1200 mt of altitude.

Check the pictures too.

This road is partially running along the border with Slovenia. WWI & WWII men fought courageously along these mountains ridges.

Awesome ride: I discovered places I never been before and will certainly go back there again.

Check the videos & ride with us! :D

My Yamaha XT500 ‘82 Autumn Short Trips: No.1

I recently ventured along the Karst plateau for a bike trip with no plans or even a clear idea where to go. It was a beautiful autumnal sunny day and I wanted to see the many different shades of jellow, brown, red, orange that fill the landscape in this period of the year.

I drove for one hundred and fifty kilometers along these beatiful corner of the World: staying away from the beaten path and taking a few white roads! I discovered some places I never heard of and stopped in a local osteria (on the Karst they called them ”osmica”) for a cured ham and cheese panino and a few glasses of local red.

I love this area. I have been away for so long that now everything looks and sounds new. The Poderosa behaved brilliantly and took me around with no hickups!

Give me a shout if you would like to join me on the next one!
